rae i never know what to title my subjects either. umm how about OOGOOBLOOGAH! yay

helloo again friends. i am happy to say that as of now i am:

still itchy (but claritin is helping)
unbelievably happy and high (will explain later)
COLD (it suddenly turned like 55 degrees here!! whatever happened to august supposed to being HOT? well technically it's september tomorrow so ahh whatever)

anyway, yesterday after i took my daily dosage of meds i just randomly fell over on the floor and had the worst stomachache ever so i crawled into my bed and tried to sleep it away but i couldn't so i started sobbing even though i wasn't really sad, i was just kinda uncomfortable but still i guess it was pretty babyish to just start bawling in bed. i was home with albert but then he went to a friend's house so i was all lonely and stuff and i called my friend and pretty much wailed and blubbered into the phone for a full ten minutes and felt better after that. =) then i called my mommy and she freaked out because i wasn't breathing well and i had to go to the hospital. AGAIN. (even though it wasn't that big of a deal because that happens all the time now) and well it was pretty much a total waste of time. the doctor lady sorta made me strip which was awkward because i was in my pj's and wasn't fully under-dressed, but other than that she basically just lectured me and my mom about how harmful lobsters can be. (??) whatever. doctors can be so incredibly useless, i swear. but then again i guess she couldn't really do anything for me anyway, so there's nothing too bad about a nice lecture about lobsters. okay i'm talking too much now

ANYWAY when i got home i all of a sudden felt SO much better and i called my friend again and laughed into the phone for 3 minutes straight before saying hi and then we talked and laughed a lot and then me and albert were like, "i'm bored. let's have FUN!" "wait but how do we have fun.." and then i was like "I KNOW! here, just follow me" and i jumped down the hallway flapping my arms around and yelling "FUN!!" over and over again and LET ME TELL YOU: it's SO amazingly fun you won't even believe it. just jump around and let loose and scream and pretty soon you'll be cracking up. or at least we were, hehe. my mom got mad at me and told me i should go to sleep because i was worrying her because i was acting high (that got me un-high because then i started freaking out again about whether or not the side effects were working on me) so i did go to sleep. :P

and today me and albert biked to cvs to get gummy worms and new chapstick and a few other junk products that i need before school starts. (gummy worms are only 99 cents!! woohoo cvs!) and then we biked to another friend's house just to say hi and we showed her our whole "FUN!" thing and i think she was pretty shocked but whatever, i still had a good morning. :P and now, well.. i'm freezing (my hands are almost numb right now, what's up with that?) and albert's building a fort out of two cardboard boxes, so i think i'll go help him.

btw i'm getting sick of my updates. everybody else make a post! even if you have nothing to say, just say "i have nothing to say! but i love you all anyway! (it rhymes!)"

much love xo,
geena

ps; i'm super sincerely sorry about all the emowhinerbaby-ness of my past two posts. i think i need to stop complaining all the time and look at the bright side of things more. my mom thinks so too. maybe i'll work at that this year. =)

skittles? noo.

i never know what to title my posts since i title them first so yep dont mind the title. it has nothing to do wiht this... my sister was just eating skittles an i kinda dont like them... haha i know.

by the way anyone who shops at delias, they're having this thing where if you try on a pair of jeans you get a free $10 cash card! its only 1 per customer but its pretty cool cuz basically you get $10 every day if u go there daily... which most people dont .. ah ok whatever. =)

i cant believe summer is almost over!! well it kinda is already for some people :( someone told me to think of it as "the beginning of a new summer." so its like the beginning and ending of summer. that doesnt make sense but THERIN LIES THE PARADOX. yeah thats from a book i read ;] it just sounded good.

love y'all;

ahhh!

okay so today i woke up and my eyes and lips were swollen to the point that my eyes had pretty much disappeared and my lips looked like sausages, and my hands and feet swelled up too and i just looked really scary and lumpy. then i was having a lot of trouble breathing so i had to go to the hospital, yet again. and now i'm super scared because

the doctor person i saw gave me an 11-day-32-pill prescription to prednisone, which is a steroid. (fyi 32 tabs for 11 days is a very strong dose) and then i totally freaked out because the steroids you always hear about do all these terrible things and stuff so i asked my doctor if someday i'd wake up and turn into a man and grow muscles and a mustache and stuff but he said no, that's a different type of steroid that boosts testosterone and a bunch of other stuff i don't remember.. but i'm still scared! he said not to worry about turning into a man but i looked up side effects of prednisone and it still includes freaky stuff like hormonal imbalances, extreme sweating, inappropriate happiness, depression, extreme mood swings, muscle twitching, fragile skin, acne, purple blotches under skin, fainting, vomiting, blackouts, increased peeing, extreme tiredness, heart racing, SUDDEN WEIGHT GAIN, short attention span, difficulty breathing and swallowing, LOSS OF CONTACT WITH REALITY... and the list goes on

but it's like, why am i being prescribed to a drug that's supposed to help with not being able to breathe, except it restricts breathing as a side effect all the same? i'm scared now because i may not turn into a man but i'm still going to be a mess of imbalanced jumbled hormones and that's not going to be pretty. especially because SCHOOL'S STARTING SOON and there's a risk of gaining 20-30 pounds and LOSING MY MIND.

O_O i feel too short-attention-spanned to actually do anything useful so my dad just told me to drink buckets of water and pee. and i didn't exactly want to do that all afternoon so i posted here.. i'm sorry, i just had to vent it all out. so i guess i'll go drink more water and pee and go to sleep or something if i can.

hope you all had a good tuesday, much love.

guess who's back back backk

hello everyone. =) i went camping.. in cape cod. AGAIN! only this time was a little better. me and my family usually go every year at this time and it's usually a LOT of fun because we take our best family friends and we basically do totally crazy things all week like having farting contests and flipping over canoes in the middle of huge lakes and walking into the men's bathroom eating porridge and throwing porridge at each other and putting porridge on eachother's faces and offering porridge to strangers (no we're not obsessed with porridge) and a lot of other things and pretty much laughing to the point that we can't even laugh anymore. but this year no one really came because everyone's in china or at college so it was just me and an old friend that i haven't seen in forever. so it was pretty mellow and we did have one crazy night but mostly we just talked a lot about everything and that was pretty nice i guess.

plus my parents are total biking nerds so we biked a lot. the first day we biked along this canal and i totally got high (um naturally endorphinally high, nothing illegal :P) and i went ahead so that i left my family a mile and a half behind and i took off my flip flops and biked barefoot and blasted my happiest songs on my ipod into my ears and it was just so nice. a perfect end of summer moment. =) and then the next day i biked 57 miles. it was crazy and i was super tired afterwards.

then for the next few days i got allergic to something so i had these angry red hives everywhere (and i really mean EVERYWHERE. like, even in my ears and my butt) and pretty soon i was having trouble breathing so my mom took me to the emergency room and the doctor put me on steroids. (last year the same thing happened and i was on the steroids for like 4 weeks in total and i was scared to death i'd grow a mustache and muscles and stuff but then i found out they weren't those type of steroids. :P) they didn't really work at all but i just dealt with it until last night when i seriously thought i was gonna die because it was so hard to breathe. so, my parents had to drive home a day earlier than we planned, and i felt really bad because it was like midnight and they had to drive 2 hours. =/ oh well. now that i'm home it's been getting better for some reason. i've still got hives but at least not on my butt anymore.

and now i'm home again and i'm feeling really low. but i'm always sorta depressed after coming home from a vacation or something so tomorrow will probably be better. ahhh! school starts in 8 days! i need to go shopping! and i need to sign up for electives! and get my supplies together! ugh end of summer = back to reality. this sucks and i wish cty was school.

MEH well i've got a bunch of cleaning and laundry and dishes to do now (fun stuff) so i will probably talk to you all later. =)

Ok thx guys, I'm so glad people are back from China... And I'm sorry about the bad wedding Kingston. <3 angie

Let's Play Dress Up!

LET'S NOT! On Saturday I went to a wedding.I had to dress up in dress pants, shirt and shoes, and a tie. The tie was choking me, and the shoes kept on pinching my feet. Finally dinner came and I got to take off my tie, but dinner took forever. First came the apetizer, which wasn't very appetizing. And the rolls were so hard they cut my dad's lip. I'm not even kidding. Then the main meal. For the kids it was a 3" pizza, it wasn't even enough for my 18 month old cousin...then again, he loves to eat. The adult meal made my uncle sick. Before dessert, came the coffee. Finally came dessert. It was a fruit cup with sherbert on top, and cake. It doesn't sound like it would take very long, but there were like 30 minute intervals between every course. As soon as I got in my car the first thing I did was take off my shoes.

American Pie

Guess what you guys! My dad FINALLY told me what American Pie was about!!!!!!!!!!!! He said it's about the day the Beatles broke up, aka "the day the music died." I don't think I ever would have guessed that one. I mean, I hear there are a lot of theories to the meaning, but I just thought you guys would like to hear this one.

M.E.

Scott. It's spelled S-C-O-T-T.

I'm back from China and have a computer that can view the blog and handle AIM again! It's weird how people suddenly spring up in your life after meeting them in CTY. I just found that out yesterday on the plane back...

The reason I had my name spelt up in the title is because it got spelled wrong AGAIN. My family and I took a four day trip to Li Jiang, but the ticket had it spelt Scoh. SCOH!!!

So that's another name for me. All my names...

Scott
Scotty
Scoot
Scooter
Scotch
Scootch
Scootchy
Scoh

I think there's even more. But I'm back in NJ!

Back from Switzerland

Hello everyone! I came home from Switzerland yesterday. It was sooo amazing. I came home on a 3:20 flight from Switzerland to New York, but since we changed our flight from 4:3o to the earlier one, my sister and I lost our luggage. I was so tired, so after eating chicken quesadillas in a bar with my dad, I lay my head down on my mom's lap and slept on three additional chairs. I must have slept for about 1-2 hours, because I think my dad picked me up and slung me over his shoulder and brought me to the train station, which meant that we had found our luggage. I was too tired to unsling myself, though, so what a sight for others to see: a 13 year old girl snoozing over her dad's shoulder like a wittle baby. Oh well. It was worth it ^-^. I slept in the cab ride home, too. I thought I would go on the computer the moment I came home, but I didn't. I had forgotten about the jet lag, so I went straight to my bed and slept. My dad came in a minute though, and woke me up, and told me to put on my pajamas. After all, I was sleeping in my jeans, shirt, glasses, and ponytail. I agreed and put on my pajama pants, but he couldn't get me to brush my teeth or wash or anything. I slept the entire night, from Switzerland time 2 am-noon, or normal time 8 pm to 6 am. I took a shower and brushed my teeth the moment I woke up, then had rice and seaweed (for angie and cherry, bap and geem) and here I am, typing this. I have to go drink the smoothie my dad got for me from Dunkin Donuts. I will post more details and pictures from my 10-day vacation later. Bye,

Hye

somehow i feel kind of sad. erugh well im going to bed now love you all and miss youus<3

M.E. Harrowing 10 Hour Travel Experience

Bonjour to all!!

I'm back from Canada! I had an awesome time in Tremblant doing random adventurous mountain things. My dad and I did this thing called Acrobranche where you're attatched to a harness and you move from tree to tree on these different courses (walking on logs, cords, zip lines) about 20-30 feet in the air. And we did horeseback riding on the mountain, where you're going up a steep hill for the whole thing through 9 inches of mud and rocks. That was a challenge. And we did Luge. Also fun.

"But what is the harrowing part?" you might ask. That came on the way home. We left our hotel at 10:30 for our 2:30 flight (the airport was an hour and a half away). Well we got there and did the whole customs, bag check, security, eat horrible airport food for lunch thing and we were waiting for our plane to board when they announced that our flight was cancelled. I didn't find out until later, but it turned out there was a dynamite scare at Newark airport where we were flying into. At first we thought we were going to have to stay overnight, but we called the number the airport gave us and found a flight that was leaving in 2 hours. Good news, right? Wrong. We had to go back upstairs and find our baggage. After some stewardess took pity on us and gave us a ride to the complete other side of the airport in a golf cart we were hit by a sight of devastation- the customs line. There had to be at least 500 people ahead of us, and if some airport security guy hadn't listened to our story and taken pity on us and taken us on line early, I would STILL be standing on that line. But that's not all! We had to go through the whole customs, bag check, security process ALL OVER AGAIN. We sprinted through half the airport and got there just in time to buy a muffin and board the plane. Safe, right? No. Our flight was to LaGuardia airport, which is located in Queens and is a complete toilet. None of out usual airport pickup people will go to Queens. So we had to hail a cab back to Staten Island, which is like a one hour and a $60 cab fare away. We got home somewhere between 8:30 and 9:00 at night.

And once I got home, as any stressed, hungry person would, what did I do?

Ordered Chinese food.

Guess Who!?

I figured it out! I can post under my own name now! No more being called a charub. I forgot that the crafting_essay account was the administrator. If you haven't guessed yet, I can be pretty slow sometimes. I know what you're thinking, "Sometimes!?" Ok, well, I'm done. Bye!

asdfjkl;HAPPY TO SEE POSTS! :)

ok so my week was pretty...eventful. i cant remember some of it so i'll list these in random order and whatever suddenly pops into mind will be typed. okayyy. well on sat + sun i went to fuyang and hangzhou with some family. we went to this lakeside place. i really wish i could say it was gorgoeus and everything but im being kind when im saying it was honestly like any other lake i've been to. ok! the walking part was literally this like 6 mile long boardwalk thingy which looked TINY on the map but huge in real life. there was a bike rental aand me & my cousin walked to the other end, rented bikes, and um, biked. and im happy to say i biked 4 miles, walked 7, and drank almost a quart of tea. yayayyy.

the last 2 days i spent watching basketball soccer swimming and all these other sports my other cousin likes on tv, playing a frightenly big number of consecutive games of chinese poker, going to this mall called carrefour, ordering a strawberry milkshake, taking one sip to realize i didnt want it [i wanted chocolate], andordering 'openface' which i thought was a french an waffle fry platter when it really was this bacon tomato stuff with meat and cheese on bread, and to top it all off, it was all soaked in vinegar. uerghhh long stories with bad endings.

oh yeah i also went skiing!! yes i know what your thinking, "SKIING IN THE SUMMER?!" and yes and no. yes as in i did go skiing, no as in i went skiing INDOORS. yeaa. it was really disappointing actualy but i guess i shouuldnt have expected much. it was this big hill the size of the hill i skiied down when i first learned how to ski.the ski lift was basically a silver pole with a wooden circle attached to it that you were supposed to sit on. it was kinda painful =\.

mm i also played tennis today which i now offically can say that i suck at. but it was fun anyway.

oh god im going home in...3 days!! ahhhhhh. im really happy and definitely a bit sad as well, but mostly happy because i feel like i missed so much while i was away, like schedules and other stuff.

whoa this is long k im done. miss y'all and loveeee. virtual hugs and kisses! <33

always,
rachelliee <3

Guys I think I peed in my pants

Ok this is my 3rd blog and I promise I'll stop before I'm addicted but I saw this picture and my immature side just came out and I couldn't stop laughing

KINGSTON HAS A FRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok sorry guys. I just needed to get that out!

Our "Report Cards"

Did everyone get their "Report Card" from CTY? I got the package and I was super excited for some reason. As if anything that dealt with Johns Hopkins sent a tingle up my spine. So anyways, I ripped open the package and I was not interested until I saw a long letter with something about "Rye Bread" Which was one of my essays about home for those with foggy memories. I read the thing and it just really made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Even though it was professional I could almost hear Amanda's and Christina's voice again. It was... refreshing. Not to bring out my nerdy side any more but Crafting the Essay did really make me more confident about writing with the techniques and all the fancy stuff... Now I'm going to trash my smartness with an hour of mindless TV. I just missed blogging so much I'm doing it again. BTW Christina~ <3ed hearing from you!

Blogs dying?

Something was terribly wrong everytime I was on the internet. And I just figured out what was on my conscience. The blog! I hadn't been on in... well let's just say too long. I first read Rae's comment on the blog dying. And it has a bit of truth to it. I no longer cry when hearing American Pie or when seeing the pictures of us all laughing and having the time of our lives. It's still a sore wound though and I guess I can say it's bittersweet. But the thing is, the CTY memories may not be #1 Priority to us all right now, but it's still pretty important! When life is spinning out of control, I always feel at ease knowing that I can step back and have you guys pick up the phone or on AIM and greet me with a "Hey Angie! I haven't heard from you in a while. What's up?" Because we shared such a strong bond in just 3 weeks, which isn't easy. We actually are mature beyond our years, (yes even me *cough) and we're going to be ok with this... connection that stretches beyond friends! Ok that was totally mushy. I think Dr. Phil pocessed me for a second there. AHH! Guys... the half reunion for the people in the Tri-State area is going to be in Six Flags. Emily and (soccer) John are going to handle the details. But email me with whether you can make it on the 2nd or 3rd or both! By the way, I got wonderful pictures a while ago and I'd really like it if the people that want the pictures comment on my post with their email addres just in case! We are all photogenic hotties! I miss you all~ I almost called one of my friends Geena or like Rae and it was sorta hard to play it off. I'm practicing tennis like crazy for the try-outs on the 28th! Wish me luck! <3 Angie

oh oh oh oh oh we'll spend our christmas being invisible

okay first off i'm so sorry about yesterday's post or whatever. we got our lists and everything and i read it and i was SO shocked and i pretty much spent the whole day being a totally moody jerk to everyone. it's just that this year's going to be pretty hard and i'm sure there's going to be problems and stuff. but then i started thinking, it's only going to be 180 days and what the heck, you don't even remember half the stuff that happened last year so whatever happens this year you can get through it and hopefully you'll be gone next year anyway. =)

so, yesterday i went to a harry and the potters concert with two friends that i haven't seen in a few weeks, and it was the most fun concert i've ever been to!! if you've never heard of harry and the potters / draco and the malfoys (they're not famous or anything, but they are getting pretty popular.) they're a really adorable band that writes songs about harry potter and tours around the country encouraging kids to read and stuff. they're terrible singers but it's still really funny and original.

my new shirt hahaha when i was taking the picture my mom was like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TAKING A PICTURE OF YOUR BOOBS??" but you can't tell or anything so whatever lol

hehe fun stuff. then i went to a goodbye party for a family friend who's going to college and i literally spent five hours talking to two friends about college and drinking and life and stuff. it was fun and interesting but i got tired of lying on the rug for the whole night, especially since i kept on moving around so i'm pretty sure i got a rug burn on my elbows. weell i guess i might as well go supply shopping today because my parents finally have free time. and it looks like i have.. just two more weeks to myself before school starts. so i'll try to make the most of them, even though it doesn't even feel like summer anymore. even the weather, it's just starting to feel crisp and autumn-ish. meh i miss june and july and cty! =(

love forever and ever and ever;
geena

The Week That Was

My weekly post:

On Friday August 18, 2006, I went to Clark University in Worcester, MA to see Kaela. Her brother was getting interviewed. Our parents decided to have dinner together. Kaela's mother got some recommendations. We chose a restaurant that was within walking distance. We walked for about an hour or so before we decided to ask for directions. It turns out that the restaurant wasn't walking distance at all. So we went to another restaurant. Our parents were talking and we found out that Kaela's father was also from Braintree. But that's not even the weirdest thing. Kaela's father and mother went to MIT. She majored in Urban Planning. My mother asked, "Do you know Tunni Li?" Kaela's mother replied, "He's my professor!" My mother said, "He's my uncle!" After dinner, just before we were about to leave we found out that Kaela was named after my great uncle's daughter. Is that cool or creepy? I think its a mix of both.

On Saturday August 19, 2006 I went to my parent's friends house. They have kids so we played football and futball together.

ASKDFJWOIERUASLDJF

this is going to be a LONG FREAKIN SCHOOL YEAR.

tears hair out.

Ruminations...

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am so happy to see this conversation still alive and thriving. I just got back from a nice little vacation to Cape May. It was such a cute town and clean beach, but apparently it's haunted! Eventhough I don't believe in ghosts, I'm scared of ghosts. Hmm...ponder that.

I'm sure you'll all be happy to hear that Chris and I have set a date for our wedding. Although I am not at liberty to reveal the date or location, feel free to send money.

I would love to stay and chat, but I have to go to the Saratoga Race Track for a Siena reunion. It has been 100 days since I have graduated from Siena College, and it is a tradition for everyone to meet at the track on this very special day. I miss you all, and keep posting.

Peace & Love,

Christina

guess what time i went to sleep last night?

8:00 AM! yes that's right, AN ALL-NIGHTER WAS PULLED. =D omg it was so awesome. i was having a movie night ish thing with two friends and we only watched two movies but we stayed up really late just talking and completely turning the fridge inside out and PEEING (sorry if this grosses you out, but i wouldn't be telling you if it wasn't totally neat. okay so during the whole night, each of us had to go to the bathroom like, literally 7 times. so that's 7 times in less than 7 hours and i thought it was weird because we weren't even having caffeine or anything like that.. well, it's a MYSTERY! :D) and then at around 5:30 we realized we hadn't slept all night and then we ran down the street in our pj's and watched the sunrise for an hour and flashed the unawake dark houses (and various other things, like certain trees and suchh) because we were all feeling pretty crazy (is it true you can go to jail for flashing?) and then we crawled onto an abandoned looking bulldozer and just stood there (it was pretty high) and we just laid down in the middle of the street and it was SO FUN! the whole time i was really awake and stuff but right when i came home i sorta crashed and slept until probably noon and i'm supposed to go running later today but i think if i do i will faint or something. so i bet today i'll just be trying to figure out how to switch yarn things when you're knitting while watching pbs and eating ice cream or something.

the summer is so awesome. even if it's a totally boring day at home i swear i'm gonna cry when it's over. OMG i just realized, i'm probably going to get my schedule & homeroom & supply list and everything like that today (they mailed them one or two days ago) whenever the UPS guy comes.. which is usually at like3:30 which is in 50 freakin minutes!!!!!! eeee i'm so nervous! okay i'm going to go look at the mail, and if it's not there i'm going to start collecting my old binders if i can find them. ick actually maybe not, it's still summer hello. okay whatever i do i think i should just stop typing because i could type forever and you'd all fall asleep i bet. okbye!!

Off to Canada!

Hey everyone!!!

Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm leaving for my vacation to Canada tomorrow. My dad and I are going to Tremblant (right outside of Montreal) for a week. It's supposed to be really pretty there. The bad news- it's like, 40 degrees there in the morning. And with all of this new airport security stuff, I can't carry on, like, anything. ARGH!!! Anyways, I'll write all about my trip (photos included) when I get back!

YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED! =(

got your attention huh?

well i hate to say it but...

THE BLOGS ARE DYING.

WE ARE DYING.

CTY IS DYING.

yeah i knew you wouldnt believe it.

so pleeeaaase, try try and try to post

at least once a week? just to let us all

know you haven't forgotten about us and still care.

it doesnt even have to be really long!

it could even just be "hi, how are you guys doing?"

so i hope you guys are reading this post right now,

and preparing to write one of your own.

if not,

think about this.

imagine your summer without cty.

CHERRY PARK

lol. yay for friendly looking women from photo frame shops! :D hehe i've just noticed that these last three posts of mine have all started off with photos. :P

hm did you know that yesterday marked us being away from cty for exactly a month? :o for some reason every single time my mom's driving me somewhere and i'm on the highway i think of you guys the most. =) oh and i've started to really like drives. they're really reflective, especially if you're looking out the window and you're listening to just the right music. i started making a cd of good highway songs and i'm excited now.

ANYWAY when does school start for all of you? i think mine starts in three weeks (day after labor day) and i'm getting so impatient for our class / supply lists to come. it makes me so twitchy and stuff, i really want to know who i'm going to be with and what to buy and stuff. supply lists will probably be an excuse for shopping, which is always good because my parents don't believe in shopping and they think there are lots of better things to do, like learn math and read the encyclopedia. um yeah, to tell you the truth i'd rather keep on falling asleep on the floor than do total asian brainiac stuff like that over the summer.

hmmm well i think this was a kind of pointless update. but in the spirit of rae & amita i think we do need more posts, pointless as they may be. =) if the blogs died or anything i think i'd cry. okay i'm going to sleep. (on a BED! yayy i'm slowly making progress off of the floor! :D)

MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH LOVE;

It's Hugalicious

Sunday August 13, 2006 at the Cambridgeside Galleria, MA. Amita, Geena, Hye-Jung and I had our own little reunion.

It took a while to get together, all the stress from planning, and then getting there and not knowing where anyone is, but once we all got together it was worth it.

We all met up in front of KB Toys. The first thing we did was go find the gumball machines in front of Border's, on Amita's request.
Amita: Turn all the knobs. I know one of them is broken.
Everone is turning all the knobs
Amita: That guys shirt says, "Jesus hates a Yankees fan."
Kingston: My hero!
Amita: AHHH! He didn't pay for that gum. I swear he didn't... He is Jesus.
Kingston: See Jesus hates Yankee fans.

We came by a massage chair.
Amita: It's $1 a minute.
Kingston: TWO minutes.
Amita: Let's find GNC they have a assage chair.
She nver did find a massage chair.

Once that didn't work we just started wandering. Then we saw it... the kiddie rides.
Amita: Look rides!
Kingston: You want to steal from the kid's now?
Hye-Jung: It's Bob the Builder.
Amita: Ohh! It's Bob the...ummm...contractor?
Hye-Jung: Bob the Builder.
Everyone got on the little race car
Geena: We need to find some friendly people to take a picture for us. Or they might steal the camera.
Amita: Teenagers are definitely not friendly.
An elderly women is closing shop
Geena: Excuse me, would you mind taking a picture for us?
What I expected
Women: Only one person on the ride at a time. I'll call security.
What really happened
Women: You're gonna love it.
Everyone: Thank you!
Geena: I thought the security guard would tell us to get off.
Kingston: Me too.
Geena: Security guards are mean.
Amita: He's right over there.
Geena: Quickly!

Once again we started wandering. We decided to find a new form of fun.
Amita: Look its Jesus again.
Kingston: Jesus!
Geena: We're not really going into stores, let's do dares.
Amita: Ohhh, go into the sleep number store and lie down on the bed.
Kingston: Or, squeeze the pillow.
Geena walks in and out, Hye-Jung actually lies down
Amita: Try on some men's clothes.
Geena: That's just causing trouble.
Amita: I guess so. Oh look a directery, this mall is to hugealicious.
Geena: You are here.
Kingston: That lady's eyes are still following us.
Hye-Jung: The floor is so soft.
Amita: We're as far away from the food court as possible.
Kingston: It's right down there.
Amita: Ohhhh!

We went down to the food court and got some free samples.
Geena: Hi my name is Geena what's yours.
Woman behind the counter: Thai.
Geena: Cool your name is Thai and you work at Thai food.
Kingston: I want gum.
Amita: Me too.
Amita: Extra lasts quite long, but the flavors here are not that appealing.
Kingston: Indeed, and the selection of Trident leaves something to be yearned for. I'll just get Orbit.
Amita: Laffy taffy and Orbit.

Back to the dares. We came upon this sports store. And it was totally anti-Yankee.
Amita: I dare you to shout, "I love Yankees."
Geena: YANKEES SUCK!
Hye-Jung: Yankees, Yankees, I love the Yankees.
Kingston: What would Jesus say?
This was after I found out that the Red Sox had won and the Yankees had lost. As it should be.

The elevator. We were going to meet new people.
Geena: Let's go on the elevato so we can meet people.
But while we were waiting for it to arrive we kind of scared off the only other person.

We went to Brookeston, but time was running out.
Geena's phone rings
Geena: Hi.
Geena: I think I'm on the third floor.(we were on the first)
Geena: Ok, but I might get lost. Bye.
Kingston: Subtle, oh so subtle.

On our way to drop Geena off at the food court we started shouting random names.
Amita: What's a common name... John.
Kingston: EWW!
Amita: I said common not good.
Kingston: EDGAR!
Geena: YOLANDA!
Amita: YOLANDA, WHERE ARE YOU! WE'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU ALL DAY!
Yolanda: Yes?
Amita: We were shouting Miranda not Yolanda.

We dropped off Geena and it was just Amita, Hye-Jung and me. We walked upstairs to GNC, but they were closed, so no massage. Then came the phone call. The reunion was over if you can call it that.

No new blogs from MA writers.

Today at 5:30 p.m all of us met at the hugealicious mall known as the Cambridge Galleria Mall. It was time for a Mini Reunion. And by all of us you don't need to feel bad about not being invited. No, it was only the four of us MAssachusettsian writers. A.K.A. Me(no, not M.E.)!!, Geena, Hye Jung and Kingston. It was loads of fun going down the up escalator, getting lost in its hugenososity, trying to find broken gumball machines and massage chairs and watching Hye Jung feel the floor. And other stuff that BETTER be in Kingstons new Inside (the mall) Blog. or something. I think.
Hope you guys all had a weekend full of cool and write and comment and blog back soon! FYI i go to AZ on Tuesday and school :( the 22nd. Argh i am full of nervousness.
Well, its 11:45 so i'd better go.

Beach!, finally~

Yesterday I had some serious cousin bonding time with my cousins at a beach in RI. My cousin (Andrew) (yen-zu) (yen-ru) (yenz) which I call Yenz drove us there because he is about 27ish years old. UNSUPERVISED ROAD TRIP, HOORAY!!!! Then again he drives like crazy which just happens to fit into the asian stereotype. My brother was really freaking out whenever he accelerated or made a wrong turn. The couzins that went with us on the trip were Yenz(27),Erica(shophmore in college), Justin(16), Jonathan (15, my brother). It took about 2 hours to get there so we were obviously listening to music in the car. Jay chou! and some 90's music (ahhh...the 90's was a better time, without terrorists and bush...) In fact I'm listening to Jay Chou's song 'ge qian' as I write this. We made some wrong turns on the way >.> but we got there just fine.

When we got there like a bazzillion people were there so we had to park really far away and pay for the parking. We brought 3 boogie boards, basic swimming stuff, and a cooler full of food. When we got there we had to pay 5$ as an admission fee (to the beach?!?!). When I saw the beach I said "It looks like one of those beach puzzles" then Erica said "maybe it is" XD. The waves weren't that big but they were boogie-boardable. So the whole day I mostly stayed in the water riding the waves with my cousin Erica. All the boys were like, the water's too cold!~! ahhh~ and then they just stayed on the land the whole time -__-;;. I seriously think time passes faster in the water then when you're on land. I stayed in the water for hours and it felt like 30 min, but on land it was only 15 min when it felt like an hour.

Erica and I were talking about people on the beach while we were in the water. The many people tanning looked like they were all dead or suffering from major diseases so was cracking up because everyone was tanning and like 5% of the people were in the water. We agreed that fat people in swimming suits is really gross. It's kinda like a combination of farmer's tan, and salty chest hair that makes it REALLY gross. +_+ :F

When I was tired of the water I got buried in sand...my cousins made a pyrimid of sand on top of me. (It was so hard to get out!) Then I dried off and ate stuff from the cooler. After, Yenz and I fed the sea gulls some bread. We were putting them really close to see which gulls would be daring and try to get the bread. Then Erica throws a dorito at them and hits a gull right smack in the wing. -_- Yeah...after that they all ran away. Justin was like " how would you like it if some random kid just came up to you and dropped a boulder on your arm?"

On the way back it was kinda the same thing as going there except we almost ran out of gas so Yenz had to go up to a random house and ask where the gas station was. The woman in the house had like 3 kids so my bro Jonathan thought the mom was gonna like, smack Yenz with one of her babies or something. Well, we didn't run out of gas thanks to that lady. We made it back to CT and hung out at my cousin Justin's house till it was like 11 o' clock...and then I went home and fell asleep. ~THE END~

:o it's been a week I HAVE SO MUCH TO TELL YOU!!

hi everyone GUESS WHAT... !!

i finally got a travel-sized vaseline so i don't have to lug around a 3 pound box thingie all the time now. :D YAY today is a day to be remembered. ;) hehe jk. but it is pretty exciting! =)

anyway. i'll listify my week so this looks more organized. :P this week, i have:

- gotten into 3 scream fights with my parents. they're finally talking to me again though! we're having lots of problems and it makes me very sad. i wish they were more open, because apparently there's a lot of stuff that's been bothering them lately but they haven't told me until now. =/
- bought an ice cream cone and dropped it after only two licks. =(
- biked down my two favorite hills in the world
- started knitting what will be a ten foot long scarf someday. i'm finally learning how to knit for real! =)
- babysat for the first time ever. it was so fun, i love playing with kids. we rolled down hills, played tag, played hide-and-seek, swordfought, played video games, told butt stories, and played a game i made up on the spot (called The Super Ninja Death Blow Game. i'll teach you all some other time, it's a lot of fun) and i got MONEY! yay i'm not broke anymore :D
- spent two days at barnes & noble just sitting at the cafe and reading. it's SO FUN, i want to LIVE in that store. =) if you ever have like a whole afternoon to yourself i definitely recommend just spending it there. it's so calming and it's really cozy too, because you can sort of curl up in your own corner with a starbucks and a really good book.. it's just really nice. =)
- went to a play that a lot of friends were in.. it was a 4 week summer program and they performed something called romeo & harriet. it was really cute and the little kids in it were adorable
- listened to "american pie" too many times to count. it's such a great song though, i don't understand the lyrics or anything but every single verse brings back some of the best memories of my life and it makes me happy. :D
- ummm did i mention i got vaseline? hehe okay i ran out of things to say =)

now i'm spending the weekend planning & setting up for & going to a surprise party. it's really stressful and i can't wait for it to just be over. then i have another week and albert's finally gonna be home so we can play the Super Ninja Death Blow game and frisbee and fun stuff together. I LOVE THE SUMMER. =) AND I LOVE ALL OF YOU TOO. YAY CAPSLOCK.

Just Call Me a Party Girl

Hey guys!!!

The past couple of days for me have been a whirlwind of just random fun things which I guess I'll tell you about now.

On Wednesday, I went to my first real concert. You know, one that didn't involve classical piano music or anything like that. My friend Elena took me and a couple of other people for her birthday to go and see a local concert for the Jonas Brothers and Huckapoo. None of us had ever heard of the Jonas Brothers before, but it was still really fun. The music was actually pretty good. A tad high school-ish, but still kinda fun. And (as an added bonus) I got to meet them afterwards!!! We waited on a meet and greet line for 45 minutes, but it was worth it. I got their autographs and took pictures and stuff like that. Two of the three of them even hugged me!

Moving on, yesterday morning I went to see STEP UP, that new dance movie. It was REALLY good. I would reccomend it highly to anyone interested in seeing it. It was a little sadder than I expected, but they have this awesome dance number right after the sad part, so that kind of perks you up.

And that night, I went to see my cousin's dance show in Manhattan. For those of you who don't know, my cousin did this 7 week Alvin Ailey dance program in the city. The show was awesome!!! All of the dancers were so great. I was getting tired just watching them. Afterward we went out to dinner with them at this Italian restaurant on 54th street. It was really quite entertaining because there were all of these parties and stuff going on so there were all of these people with tamborines singing and dancing on chairs. (I did the asparagus dance, but not on a chair.) You couldn't hear yourself think, but the food was good.

And last night I made the midnight ferry and wound up not going to bed until 2am so I'm really tired. And I look like a raccoon because I didn't do a really good job of taking off my mascara. But otherwise I've had a fun week. Hope the same for all of you.

Asian or not Asian, listen to Jay Chou~!

I have recently found an awesome singer called Jay Chou. I'm really addicted to his songs, and I can understand what he's saying instead of trying to figure out teh lyrics mean in japanese songs. He's really good and he's super famous in China/other half of the world. You guys definitely need to dowload or listen to some of his songs. Even for you non-asian guys, it's really good~

here's the youtube link to some of his music vids:

And here's the link to a huge fan site devoted to Jay Chou. It has song downloads if you register:

Hey, maybe I WILL like writing!

Here are some of my random inner thoughts on writing and reading.

"I guess your opinions on reading depends on what books you've read"

"Reading for school is BAD. Most of the time, the books my school makes us read are outdated because the school doesn't have enough money to buy good MODERN books that are actually worth reading...the budget cuts don't really help either."

"I remember reading books that were yellow with age and had tearing pages. Sometimes the books seemed they would fall apart any second."

"Sometimes, with the right book, reading is a VERY good thing. Some books transform you into another person and take you into it's world."

"Sometimes books are almost as good or even AS good as manga!~ (in my world is crazy good)"

"Reading books also comes with the price of having to wear glasses. (%100 natural eyesight people!hehehe)"

"Libraries are good(...then again I only go there to get manga)"

"Writing school reports and essays are boring!"

"writing personal essays rocks~ especially blogtastic ones"

"Writing with a pen is funner than writing with a pencil"

"Writing essays for standardized testing like SAT or SSAT or CMT really stinks"

"A paper will likely get a better grade if the handwriting is neater (that experiment where a guy gave the same paper in different handwriting to two people and the neater one got an A while the messy one got a C)"

Disaster stuck in the form of Anna

Well, my parents forgot they had to stay another week in Newton because of a wedding on the 12th. So now we are leaving on the 15 th of August. Yay, another week. (and i passed Oga's Sushi Place by accident!!)And this weekend maybe we can FINALLY see that movie together MA people!!But i kind of don't want you 2 see me as disaster has struck in the form of Anna. Yeah, my hair used to be pretty long but i cut it all off and you saw me at CTY with my short layered hair that I did not really like. So, i went to my hair salon and got my hair cut by my usual Anna. She is very nice and and has a cute red bob and looks very sophisticated. Today, i guess she has a vision of what my hair should be like. Unfortunately, due to my horrible vision (haha) i did not. So, now i have BANGS!!! Imagine that, actually DONT. (guys stop reading) Its actually kind of cute in a ponytail and they are sideswept bangs that might look fashniable on a model just not on me.Well, hair grows so i am not THAT freaked out.

Guess what my dad got me!!!

OMG you guys!!! You'll never guess what my dad got me! I don't know how many of you remember, but every day at CTY I wore my favorite piece of jewelry, a silver Italian charm bracelet. Well, my dad custom ordered me a charm that says "CTY 2006" on it! I was sooooooooo excited when he gave it to me. It has blue lettering with a pink backround. Now whenever I look at my wrist I think of all of you and all the great times we shared together. Just thought I'd let you know!

We Sang Dirges in the Dark

After the Farewell dance, there was much crying and sobbing. Some tears of joy, others tears of sadness, and some a rare mixture of both. I was talking my final walk from Foy back to Ryan in the dead of night. I walked slowly to soak it all in. Then I heard Angie sobbing. She signaled for me to come over. So I did. Her sobbing eventually subsided, but then she saw a group of her friends crying and there she went again. Whether the students were crying out of joy or sadness, it all added up to one thing, A great summer, spent in a great place, with great people. The mood after the dances were usually ecstatic, but that night it was a night of solemn rememberance. Not honoring a fallen soilder or anything like that, but remembering the day that the music died.

Book List

There was a list of chick lit books, how about a book list that's less chicky.(no offense to chick lit books or anyone that reads them)

Tangerine by Edward Bloor: I just read it and I thought it was amazing. I couldn't put it down.

That's all I can think of for now. Please, comment!

Traveling

Hey everybody! I haven't posted in a long, long time although I have been commenting. I am posting now, however, because I found out recently that my mom had finally booked tickets for our family to go to Switzerland on the 16th for 10 days! I'm really excited, because (1.) I've never been to Europe before, and (2.) This will be just my second time out of the country! :):).

Anyway, I can't believe school starts in just a month! I will really miss you guys the day I step into my school on the first day, although I will get the thrill of school starting. All the people at my school are wannabes or judgmental preps. I have never met anyone as cool as all of you, so thank you!

Hye-Jung

P.S. Happy Birthday Geena!

Just posted to say Hi

so...um hi.
I am in the middle of Pride and Prejudice. At first i thought it was really boring and i still kind of do. But everyone i know says its pretty good so i stuck it out and now i am pretty glad that i did. It has gotten more interesting. I just finished the part where Elizabeth refuses Mr. Collins proposal.
Yesterday i saw The Devil Wears Prada with a friend. It was actually really funny at the ticket booth because he charged me as a kid and still let me go in with my thirteen year old"adult" friends. Ah, good times. Then that friend painted a portrait of me. I think i look like one of those Native American chiefs but that does not really matter. We are both really sad because i have to leave Newton,MA to go to Arizona in 2 days. My mom is bugging me about packing but the suitcase is simply too small. Along with the tons of clothes i bought i also wanted to bring my photo album and yearbook and CTY stuff to Arizona to show it to friends and so i would have material to use for those dumb school projects where you have to make a poster about yoursedlf. :)
I feel really depressed about leaving MA because all of my bestest friends live here including my next door neighbor, Daniellle who is going into 4th grade. Sure, i know she's young but she is just as tall as me and thats all that counts, right. :)Oh, and what makes me even more depressed is that she does still not know i live in AZ and i need to tell her.

..More Troubles in China

...this...computer...is horrible...it can't handle AIM and it doesn't even let me see the blog. For some reason, it can't view it. I can post these blogs, but I can't read anyone else's or view the comments on mine.

...and I don't have any way of contacting people besides email, now, which I need to learn to check more often.

<16

<3 = <16

since there are 16 of us, and we are the love.

haha okay idk

GUESS WHO'S A TEENAGER TODAY??

(i look retarded but at least it's candid lol)

yeah i know it's no big deal and most of you are older than me but STILL, BIRTHDAYS ARE AWESOME!! =) i had a pretty good day today, although my parents kinda spoiled it for a little bit but hey there's no such thing as perfect! :D my friend took me out to lunch and now i'm not really doing anything but i'll probably hang with albert. :P

i'm excited though. this is probably going to be a pretty rocky and dramatic year, just considering the current circumstances, but i'm SO READY! and i'm super excited too. what's a year without any drama? ;) i hope we all stay tight and grow together, you all mean so much to me and i hope you never ever forget that. =)

well i'm gonna go now, i'm going skydiving, bungee jumping.. well, the usual, nothing you haven't heard before. ;) tell you all about it later!

LOVE x 1203729385793485720834,
geena

ps; HAHA are you kidding me? hanging out with albert is not even close to skydiving and bungee jumping i'll probably be so bored i'll fall asleep on the floor again lol ok bye

I feel terrible...

I think it's probably been two weeks since I've had contact with anyone...the two times I went on AIM express, once there was no one on, and the other time I found out Express doesn't let you onto chats. I miss all of you guys, and I wish I could actually contact people on AIM! I just haven't had the heart to post a blog until today, either...

...and I haven't been checking my e-mail, either. I feel so horrible, now, and it's not just because I've been coughing a lot. If it's not too late, I probably will be able to go to Six Flags if it's after August 26th or 27th...I'll ask my parents next time they call.

So True

They really are Inside Blogs. I had my friend read an Inside Blog. "What did they do to you?" he asked. He was looking at me like I had lost my mind. I just laughed and laughed and he still didn't get it. Except for the "FEET" part. I still say feet. And here are some funny clips, they go in a loop!
http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/magical+trevor/
http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/magical+trevor+2/
http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/magical+trevor+3/
That's all I have to say for now. As Rae said,"ttyl".

Back!

I am offically back from my two week biking camp. The only thing I can say about it is that it was confirmation that although nature is beautiful, I should only admire it from a distance. I didn't appreciate rain tearing through tents, mosquitoes, or the quake of my thighs when a giant hill came into view. I have to congratulate you guys. We have surpassed 100... we're at 134! And that calls for some serious partying! And about Geena's comment about NY... New Yorkers know we rock! LOL but I have to say Newbury Street in Boston swallowed my wallet. I loved the stores! It almost made up for the "I SUPPORT TWO TEAMS... THE RED SOX AND WHOEVER BEATS THE YANKEES" but not really. It broke my heart to see Fenway. YANKEES ALL THE WAY! Hope everyone is having a great summer. I've got good news... I've finished the disposables at the other camp so that means I'll be able to send pictures to everyone soon! POST OR EMAIL PICTURES! I'm forgetting your faces and that's just disgusting of me. <3 xoxo

Summer Reading

All of you guys don't realize how lucky you are that you get to read books for PLEASURE over the summer. I get stuck with a cruddy reading list for school that has nothing but horrible books on it. (Jayden's Rescue, Of Mice and Men, etc.) And then I have to do a whole bunch of projects on each horrible book, including a project for MATH CLASS. (In addition to the other 24 pages of algebra and geomety my evil teacher gave us to do.) Why must my school system be so evil?!?!?!?!

And for anyone looking for chick lit, one of my favorite books of all time is "How my Private, Personal Journal Became a Bestseller." I forgot who wrote it because I read it awhile ago, but I remember really liking it. They just based that new Disney channel movie on it, "Read it and Weep" but the book was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Have fun not doing homework.

M.E.

different perspectives

holaa. 2 back to back posts. wahoo. well theres not much to say. i'm really tired these days. i feel like so much is going on and its a real difference from the first wk when there was hardly anything to do. today i went to subway and i ate a footlong sub, which i've never ever done before (i was really full afterwards). being in china is relaxing but there's so much i miss. i think everyone tends (favorite word, yay =D) to really appreciate things here that they've never thought about much back home, like a/c and stuff.

i played tennis this morning & i'm really starting to love it. there's something really...i dont know satisfying when you hear the sound of the ball hitting your racket. its very calming; try it. not tennis specifically but anything. today, go out and do something you love. dance, sing, lie down in the grass and cloud-watch. trust me you'll feel really good afterwards.

greatest love of all by whitney houston. an old song, but simply amazing. you might have heard it or heard of it but if not, i encourage you to listen to it. i promise, its something you're just going to remember.

this feels like one of my first "serious" posts. even though its not serious its just deeper than the most and..no exclamation pts yet. ill do it here for the record -->!!!!!!! :] there Im done.

ttyl. always,

ahh

HEY Y'ALLLLL!!

firstly, i miss you guys lots!

secondly, keep going with the inside blogs they're really amusing and entertaining :]

thirdly, i got highlights & layers! theyre both not very obvious though :(

fourthly, i was walking with my moms friend to go to her company (she works for the shanghai broadcasting company! =]) and i saw this ice cream poster thing and on it, there were a whole bunch of kids eating ice cream and looking really happy. the girl in the middle was wearing a yellow shirt that said ABERCROMBIE & TITCH. i was laughing reallyyyy hard.

fifthly for summer reading, i recommend the lovely bones by alice sebold, which is about a girl who dies and narrates from heaven while watching her family and killer, and prep by curtis sittenfield, which is about a high school girl who goes to boarding school and it tells of all of her life there, and the stuff she goes thru. both are really good; read them!

sixthly hope you guys are doinnn goodddd. mucho grand-ay love. <33

rachel<3

BOOKS

recommend me books please! =) i'm making myself a book list for the rest of the summer. right now my top prioritized based on amazon are

- The Pact by Jodi Picoult
- The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
- The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
- The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides

but i think it would be awesome if i could just take a break from the serious sad stuff and just pick up a fun summer book. but i can't think of any right now. what are some light chick lits and stuff that you all liked? comments would really help because i'm going to die if i don't find something to do soon :P

oh btw I FINISHED MY SISTER'S KEEPER and i'm so shocked! when i read this one word on one of the last pages i swear my heart stopped and it was so scary. it was an amazing book though. :D

Inside blog for Amita + M.E. + Essie

Well, with all the inside blogs goin' on I'd might as well make a blog for asparagus. seein' it's the coolest thing around. >.>

One day the professional asparagus hunters M.E, Amita, and Emily were asparagus hunting as usual walking down the residential quadrangle. They were about to go into the FoRbIdDeN ArEa of the Do-ri-tO to play asparagus tag (how would that work out with 3 people?- we'd probably get some asparagus to play with us...). Then all of a sudden Emperor Maxis' fleet zooms by leaving a trail of manga and anime! Emily quickly leaps up in excitement with the prospect of anything remotely japanese. She collects the various manga books to find that they are all graphic novels about asparagus (big suprise). Essie happens to walk close to the 3 heroines. "That's my manga," Essie remarks, collecting her manga "and listen to some ['whatever that japanese person's name is' Essie told me to listen to]. "err, yes! of course! that person!"Emily repilies. M.E. hands Emily a gigantic sack of manga "my dad's the editor of MAD, here Emily, have some FREE manga." Emily goes into a fit of ecstatic shock and randomly hugs people passing by. Half Emily whole great., Ameeta, and Emily the cool decide to go to Sarazan after a late night of partying with asparagus, to take naps and steal soda and cereal for pizza night. Some mexican kid runs off with about 10billion sodas with about 10 RA's chasing after him. Emily gives him a thumbs up while Amita hides and M.E. looks at Emily funny. After using Emily's wierd cloth for some nappy-licious nappy time, Whole Grain, Infinity and 'the ninja' go to the big butt stone for some serious frisbee and such. After getting hit by her own frisbee a gazillion times M.E. decides that frisbee is a drug with terrible, terrible effects. The Infamous Frisbee Theif steals M.E.'s frisbee and walks away saying that it's about to Raymond. Amita hangs her head in shame for succumbing to incorrect word placement and suddenly decides to start naming the many species of algae. Essie suddenly pops up from the heart stone and exclaims mysteriously "Ask me for No, ask me for Yes" M.E. says "No." Amita says "Yes" and Emily looks at the crowd of ongoing people trying to sit on the rock. It starts to rain and Emily, Amita, and M.E. are directed to the lecture hall which also doubles as a movie theater/make-out = paridise. A smooching couple just happens to block M.E.'s view of the movie playing (MIB I +II). Then the screen zooms out into a glass marble and a locker. The screen zooms back in to Amita, M.E., and Emily having a random dance party. Emily decides she needs an iPod to match her pajamas and makes a whip out of asparagus to capture Steve Jobs. The iPod is plaid.

OMG NYC WAS AMAZING and i'm SO jealous of all of you that live there. seriously (kingston shut your eyes) it's so much bigger and exciting-er than boston! we stayed in times square in the westin hotel which was awesome and something my parents would probably not be able to afford and we met lots of people and shopped and went lots of places. it was so fun, i've decided i want to live in new york when i'm older if it's possible. =)

anyway, this week has been jam packed with long carrides and i think i really like them. i used to hate long drives but it can actually be really reflective, especially when you're listening to the right music and you're looking out the window to the highway. =) ooh, i have a gift too, just because it's so addictive:

scotty doesn't know ; lustra (sorry scott i know you hate it :P)

ugh now august's started.. i've been doing literally nothing at home. me and my friend went running yesterday and then started watching through her fourth season of gilmore girls. we made it through four episodes and it's our goal to wath the whole season before school starts again. (that's how much of a life we both have)

plus our house is getting painted and the workers plastered all the windows and doors so we're all basically trapped inside (only way out is to scream for the worker guy's attention and ask him to strip the plastic for a few mintues), and it's also constantly dim so i can't tell what time of day it is by looking out the window. i saw the outside of the house though, it looks so different. it's getting painted blue with white sills when it used to be peach and brown. these new colors give our whole yard a different look. it looks so much neater now for some reason, it's gonna take some getting used to. whatever. =)

umm, what else.. ooh! july 31st was harry potter's birthday! i was bored so i stacked up all my hp books and sang to them. i guess i'm glad the windows are covered because i can't imagine what an outsider would think of me by looking in. ;)

long post, sorry. =) i love you all alotalotalotalot and hopefully i can sign on aim sometime or other because i think i will lose my mind if i don't (the harry potter thing was probably the first sign of any major symptoms lol)

okay bye, much love!

I love this song!!!

I love this song so much!!!

Someday We'll Know
Mandy Moore and Jonathan Foreman

Ninety miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving
I don't know why
So many questions
Need an answer
Two years later
You're still on my mind

Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart?
Who holds the stars up in the sky?
Is true love just once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

(Chorus)
Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you...

Does anybody know the way to Atlantis?
Or what the wind says when she cries?
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the 97th time... tonight

(Chorus)
Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you
(yeah yeah yeah yeah)

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow,
And watched the stars crash in the sea,
If I could ask God just one question...
Why aren't you here with me? ...tonight

(Chorus)
Someday we'll know
If love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know
Why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know
Why I wasn't meant for you
(yeah yeah yeah yeah)

Someday we'll know
Why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go
Dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know
That I was the one for you...
