American Pie
Guess what you guys! My dad FINALLY told me what American Pie was about!!!!!!!!!!!! He said it's about the day the Beatles broke up, aka "the day the music died." I don't think I ever would have guessed that one. I mean, I hear there are a lot of theories to the meaning, but I just thought you guys would like to hear this one.

no. its supposed to be the day that those 3 famous people on a plane called American Pie died. But there are a lot of theories about it.

I agree with Amy. I quote the song, "Eight miles high and falling fast."
i heard that don mclean himself said in an interview it was a tribute to buddy holly (? i think he's a rockstar who died in a plane crash) and it mentions a lot of other stuff that has to do with the beatles & charles manson too.. it's confusing and there are some people who are actually seriously studying the meaning of the lyrics right now which i think is pretty cool. =)
