HI :D

hello everyone!! ahhhh it's march 12th and i know i'm not the only one waiting for admission letters and i hope everyone else has seen of good news and stuff. =) my letter has still not come and it's making me super duper nervous. everyone was convinced they would come today (some people skipped school today just to be at their mailboxes as early as possible) but letters never came. so i am just getting increasingly JITTERY! and i'm just doing stuff to distract myself like blogger and math and stuff. =)

anyway over the weekend i went to my chinese school's fundraising ballroom dance party! it was really fun, even though all i could do was supervise the bake sale for a few hours. but, i also got to run around the university taping a bunch of "RESTROOM -->" signs everywhere, which got kind of stressful but i did it! ballroom dancing looks so fun though, i remember learning during the weekly activities and now i forget almost all of it, but i think i do want to re-learn it someday. :D also at the end of the party some really exciting techno music came on and the adults were just kind of going crazy dancing. it was really cute and scary at the same time, like literally they had their arms in the air and they were all flailing around wildly. a weird way to see the normally very dignified parents. :p at the end i think we raised like $300 from donations alone, and then i'd estimate $250 more from ticket sales. so it was very good for just one night, and the money is eventually to be donated to the rural superpoor school in china somewhere. :D

speaking of which i really need to improve my chinese! i'm going to be going there in just 5 or so weeks, and i suck! i'm trying really really hard to speak all the time at home with my parents but to tell you the truth the only time i really talk to them is at dinner. i think i want to download a chinese audiobook onto my ipod or something and learn a bit from that. whatever, however i do it, it has to be quick and soon ! =)

nothing much else super important going on here, i'm still waiting for the letter.... my dad predicts it'll come wednesday and my dad i'm sorry to say is usually always very precise so who knows. i'd love to prove him wrong for once but i don't know if that's possible, but i'll update about what i find. i have a plan that if i get accepted, i will spend the day being insanely happy and i'll ride my bike to cvs and buy some candy to share with albert, and then i'll play ddr with albert for as long as i want, and then possibly i'll go shopping or do something else i love. and if i get rejected i'll spend the day being quiet, maybe i'll skip school if i'm seriously upset and i'll read and play piano and think and get over it. =) so really either way it'll be alright. i'm ready!!
