hi!

hello everyone!! how is everything? this is pretty much the last day of break for me because there is chinese school tomorrow (ew) but it was a good week anyway. =) so that is a picture from jack's mannequin and THEY WERE AMAZING! i was kind of mad at first because there were 3 opening bands which each literally took an HOUR, and they were terrible. they were we are the fury, the audition, and head automatica. we are the fury and the audition were all SUCH unsuccessful panic! at the disco wannabes and it made me sick, and they just kept on screaming into the mics and i eventually had to buy earplugs because i felt like i would go deaf. three hours of that!! i nearly fell asleep, seriously. but then jack's mannequin came on and i took my earplugs out and screamed and danced for the next two hours they are so amazing, and then when it was all over andrew mcmahon stood on his grand piano and started dancing and ahhh he is cute!! :D then for the rest of this week i went skiing, read a lot, had people over, had a sleepover every single night (one with albert & my grandma lol), and cleaned the house a lot more. i really do like cleaning. :D
but on another note, i finished a book called the book thief by markus zusak and it truly was.. shocking! if any of you have ever seen the prestige i would compare its format to that, like there's a bunch of foreshadowing and flashbacks which makes it confusing to read unless you're reading it in only like 2 or 3 sittings, but it's so amazing how everything comes together in the end and i was seriously so blown away. not to sound cheesy but it's one of those books that's more considered an actual "experience" by people instead of just a book. i definitely recommend it, like with all my heart, and i'm going to read the author's other books asap. :D then i'm gonna take on the harry potter series again (BOOK 7 COMES OUT JULY !!!!!!!!!!) because i badly need to re-remember everything that happens :D
ooh, and i also got my course for this year: youth & society, service learning in baltimore. i do think that the class sounds exciting but i don't think i'm going to end up going because it's too far away and i don't want to make my parents drive or get a plane ticket or something. once they let us change courses i'll probably switch to something closer. =)
hope things are going super duper for all of you!!!
love,
geena

Glad you enjoyed the concert! I've never been to a concert... only classical music concerts, like Joshua Bell and stuff. I like your idea to reread the HP books, because there is so much of a space between when two books come out. I'll try to time it so that right after I finish HP 6, I'll get to read HP 7. Or maybe I'll wait for paperback. That's what I'm doing with Forever in Blue by Ann Brashares. Still w a i t i n g.... :)
Anyway, I'll buy Book Thief. I sounds good the way you described it.
And OMG! I never say OMG but I really want to do Youth and Society, Service Learning, but am still contemplating whether to apply for it, because my mom says Maryland is 8 or so hours away. I'm not sure if it's 8, but it's definitely because 6-8 hours. And a plane ride is too much for just going to camp. So BLEH... I might not go this year... I wanted to write an essay for Smith College Summer Science & Engineering Program, but my mom thinks it's strange that so many African Americans from poorer families go there, and so she thinks that Smith favors them too much during the admissions. It's great, though. My sis went there, and it was BEAUtiful. It was the type of campus that you'd expect in the spring, with the right amount of sun and breeze, with lush green grass, chirping birds, and a beautiful pond. I'm still not sure. Also thinking about a language camp... spanish, french, latin, italian, greek, or something. Gotta go! My mom's calling me for dinner.
whoooooo glad u had fun! euh i know i downloaded the audtion's cd and it was horrible. isnt head automatica screamo? i would go crazy ;D but jack's mannequin would make it all worth it :) his voice is amazing.
omgggggeeena (lmao i like doing that), i have a very silly question to ask :) me & my friend are buying tickets for bamboozle this yr and i was wondering, how long is it??? there are at least 45 bands listed on the homepage (thebamboozle.com). will all of them play? wouldnt that take... forever??? the homepg says 5/5/07 12 PM, which doesnt help me much. oh and dont call a dumb blonde :P
