cty!
ahhhh omg HI EVERYONE! so i got back last night and i still haven't unpacked a bit, i just pretty much threw all my clothes out of my suitcase because i was in a rush to find my bathing suit because basically today i woke up and suddenly my mom told me we were going to the beach. :P lol well the beach was a lot of fun, and yesterday i saw harry potter 5 with my friend, except we missed the entire first hour because we went to the wrong theater. so typical ;) anyway i'll talk about cty now :)
sooo i guess i had a good time but i must say that i have not cried once since the carride where i cried for just a few minutes but that might've been because my dad was being mean to me, lol. seriously if it was last year i'd still be crying right now so i guess it's all good. this year i feel like i kind of tried to emotionally detach myself from people, like i didn't try very hard to make good friends but i made a lot of friends instead. what's the phrase, "quality over quantity" except for me it was "quantity over quality." i did meet a lot of really cool people but honestly i doubt we will be keeping in touch for neeearly as long as us here, obviously :) so well i think i'll make bulletpoints or something because there's too much to say and i know i'll become way too unorganized..
- my roommate was named sabrina zeller and she was really nice and funny. we had a lot of fun conversations at night and ended up staying up until near midnight almost every night. :)
- math class! omg where do i even start. so basically you get a textbook like you get in real school, and then you work through as much as you can in 7 hours a day. you're expected to work through a chapter a day but i didn't even come close to doing that. i finished 6 chapters in total, but i also aced every single test and no one else did that so i'm happy :) it was for the most part completely silent, except for 45 minutes in the afternoon where the class solved logic puzzles together. :P
- the dances i thought were really fun! they had slightly different canon from siena but it was so crazy, i loved the dances :) there was also a ton less drama but that's probably because our hall wasn't as close as we were last year. honestly there were some girls in my hall who i didn't talk to at all and i'm not even exaggerating.
- i played a song called "bumble boogie" in the talent show this year and it was really fun even though i messed up :) if any of you follow classical music at all it's kind of like a variation of "flight of the bumble bee" by rimsky-korsakov (sp?) which is a song in like every single disney movie ever that has bees in it. :P
- i actually can't think of that much more to say, except for kind of insignificant details. basically saratoga is a really nice site but the experience definitely cannot compare to last year's. me and sarah were talking about it and she said "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and i think i totally agree with that. :) the one thing i know for sure is that i am NOT going to take math ever again. i think i'll do cty again but i want a more discussion-oriented course so that i can end up meeting people better and learning more things that are outside of the specified curriculum. :)
i'll probably think of more things to post as they come. but, what really surprises me is that it's great to be home again. i do miss a lot of people but not intensely so it's all good. :)
hope you've all been having awesome summers!

I didn't cry after it ended either. I was sad, but last year I cried since it meant more to me. Our hall was great, but we didn't ever consider anything like a blog. The canon was also different this year. Do you think you'll come back to Loudonville next year?
